Kat Macleod: Collage Girls

Reading a Qantas Magazine some years ago, the collage girls created by Kat Macleod became a semi-obsession of one of us at YOLK Collective. Her clever use of paper, fabric and other various materials, to create lively persona's for her rather blasé watercolour figures, is truly gorgeous.  A Melbournite and the aesthetic behind the ever popular michi girl blog, Macleod is everywhere! Below are some of her irresistible appliqué creations:

Visual and technical connections to artists such as Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec, Aubrey Beardsley, Alfons Mucha and other Art Nouveau artists are apparent in her illustrative style, colour usage and compositional techniques.
